DeepTicTacToe: Use Deep Learning to build your own Tic Tac Toe player

Requirements for this hands on lab are:

A Windows laptop or MacBook which is capable of running Docker

Some basic python knowledge.

Tic Tac Toe is a game almost all of us have played when we were young. The more you played, the better strategies you developed.
Wouldn’t it be great if a computer could learn in the same way? During this Hands On Lab, you will learn how to train a deep learning network to play a game of Tic Tac Toe. During the training, the network will develop new strategies in the same way as you did when you played Tic Tac Toe.
After training your network, you can play against it via a nice hardware interface with a 3×3 grid of LED’s and buttons. Let’s see if you can train a network to defeat yourself!

Participants get to experience how to use Deep Learning for the relative simple problem of playing the game of Tic Tac Toe. You will work with Python and Tensorflow for the building and training of the deep learning network. A PCB with LED’s and buttons is supplied for you to take home as hardware interface to play against your network.
